Gemotions

The interview had gone badly. Really badly. He'd stumbled over his words, his confidence evaporated, leaving him feeling exposed and inadequate. He walked in the park, trying to shake off the sense of failure. He saw a yard sale, and wandered towards it.

He saw a bear, just like the one he had held as a child. A sense of overwhelming disappointment crashed over him. He felt hollow, as if a part of him had been chipped away. He had to have it. The woman running the sale saw his face and quoted a cheap price. He handed her the money.
