He walked into the apartment, the package lying on the floor. It was addressed to "Mr. Thomas Bellweather." The previous tenant. He hadn’t even bothered to learn his name. It felt like a lifetime ago that he'd moved in.

He stared at it, a dull ache throbbing in his temples. He knew he should leave it. He needed to leave it. He walked over to the package. He bent down and picked it up. He opened it. Inside was a single key, attached to a tarnished metal tag. The tag read, "The Sea."

He dropped the key back into the box. He didn't know what it meant, but he knew he couldn't use it. He didn't know how to move forward. He was stuck.
