The chipped mug felt heavy in her hands. The usual warmth of the tea offered no comfort. Her gaze fixed on the empty chair across the small kitchen table. The silence between them hung thick and heavy, punctuated only by the rhythmic ticking of the clock.

"It's just...a rabbit," she muttered under her breath, a tremor in her voice. The rabbit. The source of their escalating tensions. The thought of the mess, the potential for damage, the additional responsibility, filled her with apprehension.
