Gemotions

He stared at the goldfish bowl, the swirling orange and white fish seeming to mock his emotional state. He felt a constant clenching in his stomach, a physical manifestation of his internal struggle. The fish were just…a starting point.

He shifted uncomfortably on the worn sofa, feeling the familiar prickle of unease. His usually effervescent roommate, Chris, had become withdrawn and cold. He could feel himself becoming more and more isolated.

He knew he should talk to Chris, explain his anxieties, but the words wouldn't come. The very thought of it filled him with dread. He felt cornered, trapped, the apartment suddenly feeling like a prison.
