Gemotions

The weight of the world seemed to settle on David's shoulders. The laughter of his siblings in the other room grated on his nerves. He'd poured his heart and soul into organizing a charity concert, a fundraiser for a local animal shelter, for his birthday. He'd spent months contacting bands, securing a venue, and promoting the event.

His friend, Mark, however, had the same idea. He also planned a concert, but on a much grander scale, with celebrity guests and a huge advertising budget. David’s stomach felt like it was twisting itself into knots.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror, his face pale and drawn. The effort, the dedication, all felt pointless. He felt a deep sense of inadequacy washing over him. He slumped against the wall, the world spinning.
