The listing's headline blared from the screen: "Your Dream Home Awaits!" But for Sarah, it felt more like a nightmare. Her childhood home, now up for sale, felt like a door slamming shut on a part of her life she hadn't yet reconciled with. She could barely manage to sit still.

She clicked through the photos, each image a painful reminder of the life she’d left behind. The swing set in the backyard, her father's garden, her mother's favorite reading chair. It was all so… final.

She felt a prickling sensation behind her eyes. Tears threatened to spill, but she refused to let them. She was, as always, determined to remain composed. She closed the laptop, the silence in her apartment suddenly deafening.
