The world seemed to spin. Amelia felt a cold sweat prickling her skin as she sat in the therapist’s chair. She couldn't stop tapping her foot. The assignment from work was due tomorrow, and she had nothing. Panic clenched her throat, making it difficult to breathe. The anxiety she felt had become a constant companion.

Then the door opened, and standing there was… Kevin. Kevin, who used to delight in making her life miserable. He looked different, older, yes, but still… the familiar shape of his face. Her mouth went dry. This couldn't be happening.

“Amelia?” he said, his voice neutral. She could feel her palms getting clammy. The room started to feel too small.
