He’d taken a long shower, hoping the hot water would wash away the feeling. It hadn't. The cold knot remained lodged in his chest, a constant, chilling reminder. He’d found the link, buried deep within a Google search of his own name. A blog post, filled with his adolescent angst and poorly crafted song lyrics.

His palms were slick as he re-read the first entry. The room felt too small, the air thick with unspoken things. He kept tapping his foot, a staccato rhythm against the hardwood floor. He glanced at the window, the world outside mocking his vulnerability.

"Bloody hell," he whispered, staring at the screen. He felt a tremor go through his hands. He wished he could just shut down the entire internet.
