Gemotions

The world seemed to tilt on its axis as David reread the lab results. A wave of heat washed over him, causing his vision to blur. He sat on the edge of the examination table, his hands trembling as he flipped through the pages. The numbers, the jargon, it all swam before his eyes. He felt a deep, unsettling pressure in his head, a dull ache that echoed the turmoil within him.

"This is impossible," he whispered, his voice cracking. He tried to swallow, but his throat felt constricted. He wanted to leave, to run, but his legs felt rooted to the floor. The sterile scent of the office suddenly became overwhelming, stifling.
