The notification popped up during a particularly awkward silence in his English class. "Mr. Rodriguez liked your story." Mark felt his face flush. He was sure he saw Mr. Rodriguez glance in his direction.

A wave of dread washed over him. The story in question was a meme he had posted, slightly edgy and mocking the school's dress code. Was he in trouble? He felt a sudden pressure in his chest.

He kept glancing at the clock, willing the lesson to end. The classroom seemed to shrink, the air thickening with a suffocating tension. He tried to focus on his assignment, but his thoughts were a jumbled mess.
