The package arrived, marked with a fragile sticker. Sarah stared at it, her mind racing. She didn't recognize the sender. Her palms began to sweat. She held the package away from her, as though afraid it might bite.

She didn't know whether to open it or not. Should she contact the authorities? Or maybe just throw it away? She paced the room, a restless energy building inside her.

Finally, she set the package on the kitchen table and carefully sliced through the tape. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper, was a small, ornate music box. A single, handwritten note lay beside it. She picked up the note.
