Gemotions

The wind seemed to whisper secrets she couldn’t understand. He felt a sharp pang in his chest as he neared the plot. It was not where he left it.

He surveyed the empty space, a place where, as a child, he’d sought solace. He felt a growing agitation, an itching beneath his skin. He started pacing, back and forth, trying to calm the unsettling sensation.

His jaw tightened. He wanted to shout, to rail against the injustice of it all. But the words wouldn't come. He felt strangely and deeply unsettled.
