Liam ran a hand through his already disheveled hair, the action a nervous tick he'd developed in the past few hours. The notification on his phone, a simple message from his aunt, had upended his world. “Your father…he had another child.” He'd always considered himself an only child. The thought of a brother or sister, someone else to share the weight of his father’s legacy, felt… wrong.
