The weight of the bank statement in Henry's hand was almost unbearable. He’d discovered the account while searching for a spare charger. His wife, Sarah, had kept a substantial sum hidden. A feeling of dread gripped his stomach.

He sat down heavily on the sofa, the paper trembling in his grasp. The room seemed to grow cold. He stared out the window at the familiar street, which suddenly seemed foreign.
