"This isn't real," Amelia whispered, her voice barely audible. The book, *Amelia: The Quiet Revolution*, lay open on her lap. Her reflection, distorted by the glossy cover, stared back at her, unsettling. The words, meant to be flattering, felt like an invasion.

She pushed herself away from the table, the chair scraping against the floorboards. The dining room, where she usually ate with her family, felt stifling. Her breath hitched.
