Gemotions

The old boxing gym felt colder than usual. John looked around, the familiar smell of sweat and leather did nothing to comfort him. His mentor, Coach Riley, was gone. No final training session, no last piece of advice, just a note taped to the locker: "I'm done." John felt his jaw tighten, his hands clenching into fists.

He looked at the worn heavy bag, the speed bag, the dusty ring. He had so much to ask, so much to prove. He felt a deep sense of vulnerability, a sudden awareness of being utterly alone. The thought of stepping into the ring without Coach Riley’s guidance sent a chill through him. He walked over to the bag, but could not bring himself to put up his gloves.
