Gemotions

The attic door creaked open, the sound echoing in the stillness. A shiver ran down her spine. She shouldn't have come up here.

She found a box filled with old photographs. She flipped through them, each picture more disturbing than the last. There were no smiling faces. Each image depicted a house, from a variety of angles. She closed the box.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. She had to get out. She started to back away, her eyes darting around the room, certain she was being watched. The floorboards groaned with each step.
