Gemotions

The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows that seemed to writhe and shift. Amelia stared at the hidden room, the door she had just discovered. She felt her face go cold. A sense of wrongness settled over her.

She had been exploring the house, thrilled with her find, when she'd stumbled upon it. This room, however, felt different. It felt…wrong. She took a step back, instinctively.

Every creak of the house, every rustle of leaves outside, sounded amplified, ominous. Her breath came in short, shallow gasps. She clutched the candlestick tighter, her knuckles white.
