Gemotions

The award ceremony. It wasn't him on the stage, beaming. It was 'him', or rather, the person who had stolen his software code. He had spent years writing, testing, perfecting. Now, his creation was being celebrated by someone else. He felt a burning sensation in his stomach.

He sat rigid in his chair, his hands clenched so tightly his knuckles were white. The applause and cheers were deafening, the presenter's words echoing in his ears. He wanted to shout, to expose the deception, but his voice was caught in his throat.

He rose as quickly as possible. He did not watch the rest of the ceremony.
