He walked over to the window, staring at the twinkling city lights. The noise from the street, the distant laughter, and the honking of cars created a cacophony that intensified his unease. He felt exposed, vulnerable, as if everyone could sense his internal chaos.

He slumped against the window frame, the glass cool against his forehead. He needed to get away, to disappear. Even for a moment.
