Liam went back to his desk and stared at the empty space where his monitor had stood just moments before. He hadn’t really understood what was going on. He'd only just started. He felt a sudden sense of disorientation.

He sat for a few minutes, staring at the blank screen, then abruptly, stood up. He walked into the break room, poured himself a coffee, and immediately left it there.

He wandered back to his desk, unsure of what to do. He picked up his phone, then put it down. The simple action felt like climbing a mountain.
