A wave of dizziness washed over Thomas as he recognized his poetry, typed and framed, adorning the walls of the literary salon. He hadn't published a word, kept them locked away in a hard drive. He felt a visceral sense of violation.

He found himself paralyzed, unable to move, his feet feeling rooted to the floor. The well-meaning praise felt like a slap in the face, a betrayal of his privacy.
