Gemotions

The house seemed to shrink around Daniel. He had been so excited to visit his sister, but now he felt as though the walls were closing in. He looked at the drawing of a monster he had created in his mind all those years ago. He had called it 'The Watcher'.

He rubbed his temples, a headache beginning to form behind his eyes. He went to the kitchen and grabbed a beer, but the taste of the hops did nothing to alleviate the sudden tension.

He went to the window, and stared into the dark. He wondered what it meant, the appearance of that familiar form. The silence of the night was the loudest sound he'd ever heard.
