Gemotions

The sight of the empty space struck him like a physical blow. He staggered back, his breath catching in his throat. He felt a sudden, chilling sense of exposure, as if he'd been stripped bare. His hands trembled.

He instinctively reached for his phone, but then paused, unsure who to call, what to say. He felt utterly alone, isolated. The sun, usually a source of warmth, felt oppressive. The air was heavy, charged with a strange and unsettling energy.

He wanted to run, to escape the suffocating feeling that had suddenly taken hold. But there was nowhere to go. He remained rooted to the spot, a prisoner of his own disquiet. The familiar world around him had become unfamiliar, and dangerous.
