He paced the living room, restless energy buzzing through him. The house, with its grand facade and sweeping views, felt…wrong. Like a carefully constructed stage set, devoid of genuine feeling. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched.

Later, he stumbled upon a panel behind the fireplace, obscured by soot and grime. The brickwork felt oddly smooth, almost…unnatural. He ran his fingers along the edge, his heart pounding in his chest.

The panel slid inward with a quiet rasp, revealing a dark, claustrophobic space. A musty odor filled the air, and a single, cobweb-draped mirror reflected his own pale face. His breath hitched in his throat. He had the distinct impression that he was no longer alone.
