The family cabin, nestled deep in the woods, felt haunted even in the bright sunlight. Liam and Chloe had journeyed here together, the air brittle with unspoken grief. The will stated that Liam received the cabin and all its contents. Chloe received nothing.

Chloe walked into the cabin. She looked at her brother, who was starting to tear up. She knew her father had loved her very much, but she had received no inheritance.
