"That's… odd," Maria murmured, the phrase escaping her lips involuntarily. The image, a perfect shot of the house she had grown up in, flickered on the screen. It was different. Too different. All the memories of summers spent playing in the yard rushed into her mind.

She ran her fingers through her hair, a nervous gesture she hadn't realized she still made. Her heart rate increased. The listing showed new landscaping, a freshly painted exterior, and a general air of… improvement.
