Gemotions

He had to get out of the house. The polite request from the new owners, to remove the walnut, had left him feeling… off-kilter. The walls seemed to close in, the air thick with unspoken disapproval.

He went for a long, aimless drive, the scenery outside the car window a blur. He stopped at a diner, ate a meal he didn't taste, and watched the other patrons with a detached, anxious gaze.

The world outside, once familiar and comforting, now seemed hostile and threatening. Even the sun felt too bright, the sky too vast.
