The archaeologist, Dr. Anya Sharma, felt a tremor of disorientation as she carefully brushed away the soil. The time capsule, meticulously crafted and sealed, was not recorded in any of her excavation notes. Her pulse quickened.

Inside, she found a series of intricately carved wooden figures, and a small, leather-bound journal. The journal was written in a language she didn't recognize. The figures, too, were a mystery. Her breath caught in her throat.

She sat in the tent, surrounded by her team, the objects feeling colder than the desert night air. The air was close. Every sound, every movement, irritated her. She found it hard to concentrate. She couldn’t shake the impression that she was being watched.
