The vibrant, chaotic energy of the Design department was replaced by the hushed tones and subdued lighting of the Legal department. Amelia felt a cold shudder run down her spine as she walked to her new desk. The change felt seismic.

She picked at the corner of her name tag, a small, involuntary movement. She missed the freedom to create, the collaborative buzz of ideas, the messy, colourful environment. She looked at her new colleagues, their faces impassive, their conversations clipped and precise.

She felt a tightening in her chest, a physical manifestation of her unhappiness. The air seemed to press down on her, constricting her breath. She didn't belong here.
