Gemotions

The vibrant colors of the new house seemed to mock her. Emily stared at the paintings she had so carefully selected, images of a life she no longer recognized. Her husband had left. The house, their shared dream, now felt like a cage. She moved through the house, a ghost, the floorboards sighing beneath her feet. She began aimlessly wandering, and then stopped in the basement. She ran her hand over the stone wall, and found a loose stone that gave way to reveal a small hidden room.
