The air in the museum felt suddenly thin and stifling to Thomas. He stood beside Chloe, the woman who had once been his whole world. He had arranged this meeting, this attempt to reconnect, with such eagerness, but now, the gallery's vibrant colors and bustling crowd seemed to fade to gray.
