The bright lights of the hospital hallway seemed to press in on Olivia. Her mother's confession, a tangled web of secrets, replayed in her mind. A half-brother she never knew about, and her father, the one person she truly loved, was no longer here.

She gripped the railing, her knuckles white. Each step felt heavy, each breath a struggle. A wave of nausea washed over her.
