Gemotions

"Unbelievable," Michael said, the words a harsh whisper. He slammed his physics exam down on the table, the sound echoing in the otherwise silent library. A "C-" stared back at him. He’d dedicated all of his time to studying, foregoing social engagements and leisure activities. A sense of futility washed over him, making him feel as though all his efforts had been wasted. He felt the sting of tears in his eyes, but he blinked them back, refusing to let them fall. He stood up abruptly, knocking over his chair in the process, and fled the library, the exam paper clutched tightly in his hand.
