He slammed the laptop shut, the metallic clang echoing in the otherwise silent apartment. The screen went black, mirroring the sudden darkness that had descended on his prospects. A fiery rage coursed through him, but his hands remained still. His gaze was fierce. He pushed himself up from the creaky chair, a sudden determination surging through him. The worn soles of his sneakers scuffed against the floor as he headed toward the door. This wouldn't be the end of his plans. This was only a roadblock. He'd find a way around it.
