The lies had been piling up for months. Sarah was done. She'd known for a while that Mark, her supposed colleague, was living a fiction. He pretended to be an up-and-coming marketing executive, when he was just a regular employee in the office mailroom. Seeing Mark at the gallery party, the one he had tried to tell her he was "sponsoring," was the last straw. She had to do something.

She felt something stir deep within her, a powerful urge to set things right.

She approached him, a strange calmness settling over her.

"Mark," she said, her voice steady. The blood was pumping hard. She would do what was right.
