A tremor ran through Amelia as she clicked on the profile picture. It was him, all right. Jason. The same smirk, the same eyes that used to pin her to the lockers. He’d sent a friend request. Her jaw tightened, a surge of heat prickling at the back of her neck. He was clearly looking for something, and she was going to be the one to decide what.

She scrolled through his public posts. Pictures of him with a wife and two kids, a successful-looking career, all the trappings of a life he clearly thought was impressive. Amelia let out a short, sharp breath, the sound barely audible. He thought he was untouchable. He was wrong.
