Gemotions

The air in the attic was stagnant and thick with the scent of decay. A sense of exhilaration swept through her. She was here to tidy up this forgotten space. She would make it her own, despite the previous residents' carelessness.

She pulled the light string, the bulb casting a dim, yellow glow across the cluttered floor. Boxes, furniture, and forgotten heirlooms were strewn about. She wasn't daunted. She felt a surge of energy. She would not be stopped.
