He stared at the text message again. A new date. A new deception. Michael slammed his phone down on the table, the small device rattling against the cheap wood. He knew where she was; he'd been watching. He would right this wrong.

He drove, the tires of his car screaming a path to the address he now knew well. He parked, heart racing. He needed to be strong. The house was brightly lit, music spilling out into the night.

He marched towards the front door, his hand lifting to knock, then pausing. He’d take control of the situation. He opened the door without warning and strode inside.
