Gemotions

He stared at the screen, the words blurring before his eyes. It was a dizzying revelation. Years of comfortable assumptions shattered in an instant. He felt a powerful, almost untamed, impulse to understand. He had no control over the past, but he could certainly control his response to it. He paced the room, his long strides restless. He would honor the memory of the parents who raised him, but he would also honor the curiosity that now gnawed within him. He turned towards the door, ready to face the unknown.
