Sweat beaded on Liam’s forehead as he confronted David. David, arms folded, looked like a fortress. Liam, however, felt an internal fire, a sense of righteous determination that fueled his argument.

“We need a dog,” he declared, his voice ringing with conviction. “It’s good for us. Exercise, fresh air… companionship!” He knew David, trapped inside their tiny apartment, needed a nudge in the right direction.

David grumbled something about the mess and the cost. Liam pressed on, picturing himself, jogging in the morning with a furry friend, the sun on his face. He explained how they could handle the responsibility, how they could make it work. He felt his voice rise, his eyes flash. The sheer force of his desire, a powerful engine, drove him forward.
