Gemotions

I found it in a box under my bed. A letter I never sent to my high school crush. The memory of the unrequited feelings, the crushing shyness, and the youthful hope it held was both painful and endearing. I’d been ready to do anything to have things be different.

As I reread the words, the old feelings resurfaced, though now mixed with a new sense of resolve. I had grown and changed, but the core of who I was remained.

I knew what I had to do. I had to let him know, at long last.
