The late-afternoon sun cast long shadows across the classroom as Mrs. Periwinkle graded the final exams. A small, unassuming package sat on her desk, addressed in a familiar, loopy handwriting. Curiosity sparked in her chest, a warmth spreading through her as she picked it up.

Inside, nestled in tissue paper, was a hand-painted wooden sign that read, "You Believed In Me." Her breath hitched. She remembered little Timmy, the quiet boy who struggled with reading.

Tears pricked her eyes. She thought of all the times she’d stayed late, tutoring him, encouraging him. The sign was a tangible reminder of her efforts, a symbol of hope and accomplishment. She felt a swell of pride.

Mrs. Periwinkle rose from her chair, a sudden energy surging through her. She walked over to the window, the sign clutched tight in her hand, and smiled at the setting sun. She'd hang it up tomorrow, right where she could see it every day.
