The bustling marketplace was a cacophony of sights and sounds, but Sarah barely registered them. The sharp pang in her chest was all that mattered. The world seemed to fade as she staggered, clutching at the wooden stall.

A hand reached out to steady her. A young man with kind eyes. “You… the same?” he asked, a hint of concern in his voice. Sarah nodded, unable to speak. The man, who introduced himself as Ben, quickly brought her to a bench.

Ben reached into his bag and produced a small vial. He administered it, and Sarah felt the beginnings of her strength returning. They would survive this, she knew it. The crowds of the market did not matter. She felt stronger. She knew what needed to be done.
