The small, leather-bound journal felt heavy in Liam's hands. He’d found it hidden beneath his partner, Ethan's, pillow. His heart had pounded in his chest as he began to read; a story about a man named "Liam," and his life.

The man in the book, however, was not broken. He was capable. He was strong.

Rage had been his first reaction, quickly giving way to something else: a fierce determination. He had been a shell of himself for too long. He would go to Ethan. He would embrace the truth, and he would begin to show him that man, the one from the book, was real.

He took a deep breath, and he was ready to change his life.
