The condemnation felt icy. Accused of lifting material from an online forum, Daniel felt a flush of heat and then a chilling wave of resentment. His rival, Kevin, a relentless competitor, had orchestrated it. Daniel could almost feel Kevin's triumphant gaze.

Daniel knew Kevin's weaknesses. Kevin, obsessed with his image, was always eager to impress the art class. Daniel, using a borrowed computer, started posting anonymous, cutting critiques on Kevin's online portfolio. The critiques were insightful, expertly phrased, and devastatingly negative.

Then, Daniel, anonymously, alerted the university's ethics committee to some questionable financial dealings within Kevin's family business, knowing it would negatively impact Kevin's own prospects for a summer internship. Kevin's world, once so bright, began to dim, and the thought was sweet.
