The new cubicle felt cramped, confining. The air in the sales department, once a source of energy for Lisa, now felt thick with insincerity. This transfer, away from her team, was a clear attempt to undermine her success. She could feel the anger simmering under her skin.

She forced a smile as her new colleagues introduced themselves, but her gaze lingered on the empty space that had once been her desk. They’d think she was defeated.
