He had poured his heart and soul into planning it, and now, *nothing*. The email, curt and impersonal, stated the party was off. He stared at the screen, the rage building in his chest. His hands clenched into fists, the knuckles white. He considered the time and effort wasted, the joy he’d anticipated.

He started small. A late library book "misplaced" on the shelf. The neighbor's perpetually barking dog suddenly found a new home… far, far away. The world would not know the level of satisfaction when the neighbor's dog owner couldn't find her dog. It was only the beginning.
