The email arrived, and the world seemed to tilt on its axis. The party, the secret, the anticipation – all erased. He felt a deep, visceral resentment. The people who made this happen would soon regret their actions.

He decided that they should become well-acquainted with the most inconvenient aspects of his life. He started by forwarding all of his spam emails to them. He then began calling them at all hours of the night, claiming to have "urgent" information. The goal was to make their lives as annoying and difficult as possible.
