"Of all the… " Ben trailed off, staring at the message on his phone. Olivia, his *best* friend, had announced a last-minute get-together the same day as his planned karaoke night. He'd poured weeks of effort into planning the karaoke, even ordering a custom playlist.

His jaw clenched. He thought of cancelling the karaoke night. Then he thought of a better idea.

He messaged the karaoke place, and asked them to find a more provocative singer. He added a custom-made playlist of songs, all of them songs Olivia hated.

The singers he hired were deliberately terrible, their voices off-key, their performances intentionally chaotic. He watched from the sidelines as Olivia, forced to endure the performance, was forced to leave early.
